SWEETWATER COUNTY — It’s hard to believe 20 years ago, life as Americans knew it would be changed forever. The terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001, changed America and on this 20th anniversary we remember those we lost and honor the first responders who bravely put their lives on the line to save others.
Sweetwater County had numerous memorial events today, from the first 9/11 Memorial Walk to flag ceremonies. We were there to capture every moment.
Here are some of our favorite photos of those events that took place today. We will never forget.
The first annual Rock Springs Memorial Walk for 9/11 took place this morning on Grant Street to honor and remember the 343 firefighters, 60 law enforcement officers, and eight emergency medical service technicians that made the ultimate sacrifice of their lives.
