Wyoming Highway Patrol troopers have already responded to numerous overturned semi truck and trailers this morning, according to a December 21 social media post from the Wyoming Highway Patrol – Commercial Carrier.
“Conditions in southeast Wyoming continue to be hazardous,” the post states.
Not only have the troopers responded to numerous overturned tractor trailers, but overturned pickup-trailer combinations also, according to the post.
As of 11:45 a.m., portions of Interstate 80, from Elk Mountain to Cheyenne, and Interstate 25, from Cheyenne to Wheatland, are closed both directions to light, high profile vehicles due to gusting winds and extreme blow over risk.
The WHP and Wyoming Department of Transportation are asking travelers to please obey the wind closures and #knowbeforeyougo. Check wyoroad.info for the most up-to-date travel information.
