CHEYENNE — The Healthy Wyoming Coalition hosted a rally on the steps of the Wyoming State Capitol in Cheyenne today on the first day of the Legislature’s 2022 budget session.

This year, state lawmakers will face the decision on whether to expand Medicaid for around 25,000 Wyomingites who currently lack access to basic healthcare, the Rally at the Wyoming Capital for Medicaid Expansion Facebook event page stated.

With this in mind, Wyomingites from across the state gathered in front of the Capitol with signs and flags to express their support for Medicaid expansion. Speakers spoke to the crowd about the importance of expanding Medicaid.
