ROCK SPRINGS – Although there were concerns work on Dewar Drive would not start as scheduled on Thursday, problems have been mitigated and work continues.
Due to equipment problems and scheduling delays, there was a fear patching work scheduled on Dewar Drive would have to be rescheduled. Wyoming Department of Transportation Public Relation Specialist Stephanie Harsha reported repairs were made and work will continue on Thursday as scheduled.
The work is part of a district-wide patching project that will include work in Lincoln, Teton and Sweetwater Counties. The nature of the work will include grading, milling and paving various sections in District 3.
Lewis & Lewis, Inc., of Rock Springs was awarded the contract for $1.65 million dollars last fall. The completion date for the district-wide work is October 31, 2016.
WYDOT would like to remind drivers to slow down in work zones, be alert and cautious of roadside workers.
