Regional Tennis updates of today’s early final results and final match-ups; Wolves Lock and Miskesell and Lady Tigers Tasha Bentley and Keeri Klein have won Consolation Titles

SOUTH REGIONAL TENNIS

No. 1 Doubles
The Green River Wolves no. 1 doubles team of Jacob Lock and McCaden Mikesell have won the consolation bracket finals match against the Rock Springs Tiger team of Tucker Leibee and Josh Rawson in straight sets, 6-3 and 6-3. The two teams actually opened the tournament against each other with Lock and Mikesell winning a three-set battle.

Girls No. 2 Doubles

The Lady Tiger team of Tasha Bentley and Keeri Klein was able to get a little revenge and has won the consolation title. To do it, they had to beat the Green River team of Holly Huber and Cassie Deverick. Huber and Deverick beat Bentley and Klein to open the tournament, but Rock Springs came back in the finals for the 6-4, 6-3 win.

 

Girls No. 2 Singles

Alisha Corbin of Cheyenne East was able to beat Lady Tiger Gretchen Baldwin in the no. 2 consolation finals, 6-2 and 6-2.

 

Boys No. 3 Doubles

The Tiger’s team of Jameson Fuja and Kelby Kremer will battle for a regional title today while Green River’s Andrew Halverson and Ian Evert are in the consolation finals.

 

Boys No. 2 Doubles

Cole Alexander and Benson Nyugen will represent Rock Springs as they will battle for a regional title later today. Green River’s Adrun James and Brandon Lee are in the consolation final match.

 

Girls No. 1 Singles

Green River’s Anna Ujvary has made it to the consolation finals.

 

Girls No. 1 Doubles

The Lady Tiger no. 1 doubles team of Lexy Newman and Zoe Baldwin will fight for a Regional Tournament title later today.
