Rock Springs Historical Museum wine tasting fundraiser has been cancelled

Rock Springs Historical Museum wine tasting fundraiser has been cancelledROCK SPRINGS – The wine tasting fundraiser to benefit the Rock Springs Historical Museum has been cancelled. The event was scheduled for March 14.

For the past couple of years, the Rock Springs Historical Museum Board has been working hard to bring back the annual fundraising event. The museum has the smallest budget of all city departments and relies on donations that not only help bring historical artifacts to the museum but also to provide refreshments for different receptions and events at the museum.

Some of the more notable things the donation fund at the museum provides are hot chocolate and cookies at the Holiday Parade as well as goodies during the Halloween Stroll.

This year, a sub-committee of the board put together a wine tasting event scheduled for March 14. According to Museum Coordinator Bob Nelson the event was cancelled because it seemed to be the wrong time of the year to have it.

Nelson thanked the board and added everyone worked hard on the fundraiser. He also thanked everyone in the community who supported the event and the community’s continued support of the Rock Springs Historical Museum.

For those who have purchased tickets, refunds are available. Anyone seeking information or having questions can call the Rock Springs Historical Museum. The museum is always accepting donations and anyone interested in making a donation can call or visit the museum located at 201 B St, in downtown Rock Springs.
