Rock Springs Man Arrested on Attempted Second-Degree Murder Charges

Charles Laird Kincaid has been sentenced to 7-10 years in the Wyoming State Penitentiary for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. He was found guilty of pointing a gun at his former wife and pulling the trigger back in February.

ROCK SPRINGS — A Rock Springs man has been arrested on attempted second-degree murder charges following an alleged incident that took place yesterday around midnight.

According to a statement from the Rock Springs Police Department, officers responded to a 911 call at 2216 Reagan Avenue in Rock Springs.

Upon arrival, officers made contact with a female victim that had allegedly been threatened by Charles Laird Kincaid, 30, with a handgun. The victim suffered no physical injuries, according to the statement.

After further investigation Kincaid was arrested for attempted murder in the second degree in accordance with Wyoming State Statute 6-2-104.
