UPDATE — Residents are reporting water in their basements on the Bluffs.

UPDATE — We are getting reports that cars are floating at the intersection of Gateway and Dewar. The Rock Springs Police Department is advising no unnecessary travel in the City of Rock Springs.

ROCK SPRINGS — The RSPD is asking citizens to avoid unnecessary travel in the city due to rainfall and potential flooding.

A flash flood warning is in effect for the area and a funnel cloud was photographed near Interstate 80 around 3:30 p.m.Â
