Rocky Mountain Sports and Physical Therapy is pleased to introduce Justin Willis, PT, DPT, ATC, CMTPT, TPS to our physical therapy team.
Justin recently accepted the clinic director position in Rock Springs, where he works closely with Michelle Cook, PT, WCC, the clinic’s founder.
Justin has been a part of our Fremont Therapy Group partnership since 2016 and brings a great deal of expertise and advanced education to Sweetwater County. Justin is a Therapeutic Pain Specialist (TPS), a certification achieved through The International Spine & Pain Institute with Purdue University and Evidence in Motion. TPS is the highest level of clinical competency for the evaluation and treatment of pain that a practitioner can earn.
Justin uses these valuable skills to help patients conquer pain through Pain Neuroscience Education (PNE), along with a variety of therapeutic strategies. Justin is also certified at the highest level for dry needling, which allows him to provide his patients with the broadest application of this treatment technique.
Justin’s certifications are on top of his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree, which he earned from Idaho State University and his Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training from Brigham Young University. Justin takes pride in the wide application of physical therapy to treat pain and help patients recover from their injuries and illnesses. He has particular interest in manual therapy, treatment of the spine, pain science, and sports medicine. Justin strives to create personalized, research driven plans of care for each patient. His goal is to develop a plan that meets each individual’s unique needs and personal goals.
When not treating patients, Justin and his wife, Stephanie and their four young children love spending time together hiking, barbequing, and any adventure that involves the outdoors.
