RS Council Considers Utility Easement with Rocky Mountain Power

ROCK SPRINGS — During the Rock Springs City Council meeting, the Council will consider a resolution for an electrical utility easement from Rocky Mountain Power (RMP).

The Council is scheduled to meet at its regular meeting Tuesday at 7 pm at City Hall. During this meeting, the Council will consider granting an electrical utility easement to RMP. This easement will allow RMP to construct, operate, and supply electricity to the West Hanger at the Southwest Wyoming Regional Airport.

Other Business

The Council will also read an a section of an ordinance for the second time entitled “Cemetery.” The proposed ordinance change would allow sell-backs of unoccupied cemetery lots for 75 percent of the current lot price.

Under appointments, the Council will look at appointing Cody Wylie to the Rock Springs Planning and Zoning Commission and Breanna Jackman to the Rock Springs Historical Museum Board.

The Council is also scheduled to hear a presentation about a Sweetwater Arts Partnership from Community Fine Arts Director Debora Soule.
