RS Council to Host Liquor License Transfer Public Hearing

ROCK SPRINGS — During an upcoming Rock Springs City Council meeting, the Council is hosting a public hearing for the transfer of two liquor licenses.

The Council is scheduled to meet for its regularly-scheduled meeting Tuesday, May 18, at 7 p.m. at the City Hall. Under public hearings, the Council will open up the floor to anyone wishing to make comments on the transfer of liquor licenses.

According to an application of ownership of retail liquor licenses, CF Altitude, LLC, filed an application to transfer the ownership of two licenses at 2506 Dewar Drive and 1640 Elk Street in Rock Springs.

These licenses were formerly owned by Red Horse Oil Company, Inc. and RHO Properties, LLC, respectively, and operated under the trade names of Mr. Al’s Get n Go and North Get n Go at the same addresses.

If approved, the licenses would be transferred to CF Altitude, LLC for operation under the trade-names of Alta Convenience #6224 and Alta Convenience #6221 at 2506 Dewar Drive and 1640 Elk Street, Rock Springs.

The Council is also scheduled to vote on a resolution and decide whether or not to approve this request later in the meeting.

Other Business

During new business, the Council will look at amending an addendum to the exclusive right to lease listing contract with Uinta Realty, Inc., to adjust the proposed lease rates and commission schedule for the lease of property located at the First Security Bank building at 502 South Main.

Under new business, the Council will review a request from the Rock Springs Police Department to apply for a 2022 Highway Safety Grant. The main focus of this grant is to provide funding for overtime enforcement of occupant protection and driving under the influence enforcement.

The Council will also look at appointing Lauren Schoenfeld, Todd Redmon, and Laura Leigh to the Beautification/Tree Committee; and Matt McBurnett to the Southwest Regional Airport Board.
