SWEETWATER COUNTY — Sweetwater County School District (SCSD) No. 1 is reporting 134 new positive COVID-19 cases since the last COVID update on January 10. This update is through last Friday, January 21.
According to information from SCSD No. 1, from January 10-21, 106 students and 28 employees have tested positive for the COVID-19 virus. So far, the district has seen a total of 512 students and 94 staff members who have been known to test positive for the virus since the beginning of the school year.
As for stay-at-home orders, the district has 228 students and two employees who have been issued stay-at-home orders. Since the beginning of the school year, 922 students and six employees have been issued stay-at-home orders.
