SWEETWATER COUNTY — A High Wind Watch will remain in effect from late tonight through Saturday evening.
According to a High Wind Watch from the National Weather Service (NWS) issued this morning, Sweetwater County, especially the Eastern portion of the county, can expect west winds of 30-40 mph with gusts of up to 60 mph.
The NWS predicts the winds will hit the area late Friday night and continue through Saturday afternoon and as late as 6 pm.
The wind may impact transportation. There could be control issues for travelers especially for light and high profile vehicles, including campers and tractor trailers. For a complete forecast, click here.
