ROCK SPRINGS– Sweetwater County Fire District #1 and the Bureau of Land Management are on scene of a wildland fire on County Road 29, south of Rock Springs.

According to Scott Kitchner, Sweetwater County Fire District #1 Chief, the fire was discovered Friday afternoon and is approximately one acre as of 3:50 pm.

Fire District #1 has two units on the scene and the BLM has one unit, Kitchner said.
