Taylor Stoeger Will Play Soccer at LCCC Next Season

GREEN RIVER – A sought after Green River athlete has made her decision on where she will play next season. Taylor Stoeger recently signed to play soccer at Laramie County Community College next year.

Stoeger is currently in her senior season with the Lady Wolves soccer squad and has them sitting at 3-1 in conference play and 5-4 overall. Stoeger, who had 28 goals in a season early on in her high school career, is already halfway there this season. The senior has been named All-Conference and All-State her first three years and her coach Tracy Wyant expects the same this season.

Wyant told Stoeger her experience at LCCC will be exciting, new and fun and said she is happy that she picked LCCC.

“She has been a captain, leader, and playmaker for us for the past four seasons,” Wyant said. “We are going to take a hit next year without her but she has mentored the younger players and has really left her stamp on this team.”

Stoeger is also excited for the new challenge. She said she picked LCCC because of the location and cost of the school. Stoeger said Laramie County also has a great team and she is excited to join the squad.

As she looks to close out her senior season strong, she said she will miss the great coaches and her teammates at Green River High School the most.
