SWEETWATER COUNTY — Three Sweetwater County senior students were selected to receive the 2022 Board of Sweetwater County Commissioners Scholarship, which are $1,000 each.

Those receiving the scholarships are Grace Duncan of Green River, Austin Fox of Green River, and Cree Jones of Farson-Eden.

In the event that any of these students cannot accept the scholarship, such as attending a school outside Wyoming, the commissioners selected three alternate recipients.

The alternates, in order, are Levi Johnson of Farson-Eden, Yesenia Vicencio-Delgadillo of Rock Springs, and Emily Taucher of Rock Springs.

The Commission said the competition for this scholarship was tough this year, making it a hard decision to choose just three students.

“It was very difficult to choose, they were all very outstanding,” Commissioner Mary Thoman said.
