Tomorrow, Join the Rotary Club to Remember 9/11 and America’s Fallen Heroes

Honorary Flag Lowering

The Rock Springs Rotary Club, American Legion, City of Rock Springs, and Chamber of Commerce will hold a brief flag lowering ceremony at the giant flag on Dewar Drive to remember the American lives lost in September 11 terrorist attacks on United States of America and commemorate Patriot’s Day. Join them and many others from our community as they lower the flag to half mast in remembrance of our fallen heroes.

The flag lowering is set to occur at 8:00 am; however, they ask people to arrive by 7:50 am.

Flags Around Town

Did you know the Rock Springs Rotary Club paid to install the giant flag on Dewar Drive? That is not the only flag they are responsible for around town. Have you noticed the flags posted at different business around town on specific national holidays. Show off your business’ patriotism and support a good cause.

For $50, the Rock Springs Rotary club will post a flag on your business on several holidays throughout the year. The money is used for the Rotary Club’s yearly community benefit projects.

Service above Self

The Rotary club’s motto is “Service above Self.” The Rotary Club is an international organization composed of business and professional men and women around the world. These people join together to provide humanitarian service, encourage high ethical standards in all vocations, and help build goodwill and peace in each community and throughout the world.
