ROCK SPRINGS – A total of 37 horses and burros were recently adopted according the Bureau of Land Management Wild Horse & Burro Program results from a recent internet adoption which ended Sept. 9.
The program said they had horses and burros from Mantle Ranch, Burns, Ore, Delta, Utah, Fallon, Nev., Palomino Valley, Nev., and Pauls Valley, Okla. They reported a total of 37 horses and burros were selected for adoption, with 15 being picked up in the East.
The high bids included $1,530 for a 2-year-old pinto mare, from Pauls Valley, Okla., $395 for a 1-year-old gray gelding from Mantle Ranch and $345 for a 1-year-old pinto gelding also from Mantle Ranch.
The next internet adoption is Oct. 7 through Oct. 21.
