ROCK SPRINGS– On March 16, 2019, Officers from the Rock Springs Police Department were dispatched to the Baymont Inn in reference to two people sleeping in a vehicle.

The reporting party said there was a visible suspected methamphetamine pipe and torch in the center console area between them. Once on scene, Officer Harris and Officer Sprouse made contact with the persons who were identified as Jessica Vantuinen of California and Dante Braziel of Colorado.

During the course of the investigation, it was discovered that Vantuinen had felony amounts of methamphetamine in her purse and admitted the methamphetamine was hers. Felony amounts of marijuana were located in the area of the vehicle where Braziel had been occupying.

Braziel was arrested for Felony Possesion of Marijuana and Vantuinen was arrested for Felony Possession of Methamphetamine.

All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty.
