Two-Vehicle Crash Near Greybull Claims One Last Friday

A 46-year-old Greybull man was killed Friday when his vehicle slide across snow-packed roads and collided with a Freightliner truck.

GREYBULL — A crash at milepost 216 on US 310 just north of Greybull claimed the live of a Greybull resident last Friday afternoon.

According to a report from the Wyoming Highway Patrol, the accident occurred around 3:23 p.m. when WHP troopers were dispatched to the area for a motor vehicle collision.

The report states that a 2008 Ford Fusion was headed north on US 310 when the driver lost control of the vehicle on the snow-covered roadway. The Ford crossed into the southbound lane and collided with a 2019 Freightliner Cascadia commercial vehicle.

The driver of the Ford has been identified as 46-year-old Jason A. Haworth who was not wearing his seatbelt and succumbed to injuries at the scene of the crash.

The passenger in the Ford has been identified as 40-year-old Billings, Montana resident Michelle L. Bien. Bien was wearing her seatbelt and flown by helicopter to a hospital in Billings, Montana, for injuries she sustained in the crash.

The driver of the Freightliner has been identified as 61-year-old Billings, Montana resident Mark A. Grabinski. Grabinski was wearing his seatbelt and not injured in the crash. Speed on the part of Haworth is being investigated as a possible contributing factor.

This is the 6th fatality on Wyoming’s roadways in 2020 compared to 17 in 2019, 9 in 2018, and 10 in 2017 to date.
