ROCK SPRINGS — The Sweetwater County Child Developmental Center’s Social Emotional Program is growing stronger thanks the efforts of the United Way of Southwest Wyoming.
SCCDC’s social emotional program provides social emotional mental health services to children, ages birth to five.
These services are provided by Registered Play Therapists (RPT) and Registered Play Therapists-Supervisors (RPT-S) who are licensed mental health professionals who have earned a Master’s or Doctorate degree in a mental health field and additionally obtained considerable clinical experience and supervision in the field of play therapy.
United Way also graciously funds the Sweetwater County Child Developmental Center’s sliding scale for families needing tuition assistance for preschool services.
Parents of non-disabled students may qualify for the sliding scale.
The investment provides saving to school districts as students who attend preschool are more prepared for school.
Without United Way support children in Sweetwater County would not have access to preschool at the Sweetwater County Child Developmental Center.
