SWEETWATER COUNTY — An earthquake that hit Magna, Utah early Wednesday morning has caused a slight delay in shipments of products to local Smith’s Food and Drug stores in Sweetwater County.
Rock Springs Smith’s Assistant Manager Gwen Giles said that currently they don’t know when the next shipments will come in, but that customers shouldn’t worry about a shortage of products.
“They are about four hours behind schedule because of the delay,” Giles said. “They are closed right now, but they just want to see if there is an aftershock.”
There is no timeline for when the delays will end, but once the warehouse reopens, the shipments will be carried out. Giles said that shipment could come in late tonight or tomorrow.
For now, it’s a waiting game.
“We’ll get our loads, we just don’t know how late they’ll come,” Giles said.
