Verba Ellen Ray (February 9, 1942 – November 8, 2013)
ROCK SPRINGS – Verba Ellen Ray, 71, of Rock Springs, Wyoming passed away on Friday, November 8, 2013 at her home.  Verba was a longtime resident of Rock Springs, Wyoming and former resident of Denver, Colorado.
She was born in Laramie, Wyoming on February 9, 1942 the daughter of the late Wenston Gary Ray and Mary Jane Behunin.
Verba attended schools in Laramie, Wyoming and graduated from Laramie High School with the Class of 1960.  She also attended some college classes at Western Wyoming College.
She worked as a secretary/data clerk for Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County about sixteen years until her retirement on December 27, 2012.
Verba was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
Her interests included watercolor painting, sewing, quilting, toll painting, woodworking, gardening, camping and hiking.
Survivors include two brothers Eugene C. Ray of Layton, Utah and Wesley G. Ray of Tomball, Texas and one sister Janet K. Graham of Layton, Utah; thirteen nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, November 16, 2013 at the White Mountain L.D.S. Chapel, 3306 White Mountain Blvd., Rock Springs, Wyoming.  Friends may call at the church on Saturday morning until time of services.
Graveside Services and Interment will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Monday, November 18, 2013 at the Greenhill Cemetery in Laramie, Wyoming.
