CHEYENNE – The Wyoming Business Council team is going to miss two very special ladies when the office doors open at 8 a.m. Monday.
Today we say goodbye and good luck to Wyoming Rural Development Council/Wyoming Main Street Director Mary Randolph and Receptionist/Administrative Assistant Kathy Rowe.
Rowe is an original Business Council employee, joining the agency when it opened in 1998.
“I affectionately referred to Kathy as the Wyoming Business Council’s ‘director of first impressions,’” Business Council Chief Executive Officer Shawn Reese said. “She often was the first person people met when they came to the office, and I cannot think of a better ambassador for the agency.”
Randolph became director of the Rural Development Council in 1997 – before it became part of the Business Council. In 2004, she also became state coordinator for Wyoming Main Street, a Business Council program.
“Mary has received well-earned praise throughout the state, regionally and nationally as a leader in downtown and rural development,” Reese said. “Her legacy will literally be seen for years to come in community development projects she administered and the many careers of those she mentored.”
