William Keith “Bill” McQuillan (Sept. 2, 1959 – Sept. 11, 2014)

ROCK SPRINGS – William Keith “Bill” McQuillan, 55, of Rock Springs, Wyoming passed away suddenly on Thursday, September 11, 2014 in Pinedale, Wyoming.  Bill spent his last days doing what he loved the most, hunting in the Hoback.

Bill was born in Rock Springs, Wyoming on September 2, 1959 to William “Bay” and June Cassas McQuillan.  He attended schools in Rock Springs and graduated from Rock Springs High School with the class of 1978.

He was an accomplished backhoe operator, working in the oifield and construction fields and was employed for several years with Questar Corporation and Greene’s Welding.

Bill was an avid sports fan, expecially of the San Diego Chargers.  He loved hunting and the outdoors.

He is survived by his sister Jolene Endres of Rock Springs, Wyoming and sister Rae Lynn Larsen and husband Steve of Rock Springs, Wyoming; niece Erin Endres of Rock Springs, Wyoming, three nephews Dax Endres of Cheyenne, Wyoming, Zachary McQuillan and wife Jesse of Boyce, Louisiania and Tanner McQuillan of Rock Springs, Wyoming; sister-in-law Cyndi McQuillan of Rock Springs, Wyoming; two great nieces Kassidee McQuillan and Kaidence McQuillan both of Boyce, Louisiania.  He is also survived by close cousins Jackie Stout of Rock Springs, Wyoming, Laurie Tyler and family of Ogden, Utah, Dean and Jill Stout and family of Evanston, Wyoming, Brad and Chris Stout and family of Rock Springs, Wyoming, Kerry Stout and family of Rock Springs, Wyoming and Sunny and Tory Thomas and family of Rock Springs, Wyoming, Aunt Carma Foran and family of Beckley, West Virginia and Aunt Melva Novak and family of Farmington, New Mexico and many other cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents Bay and June McQuillan, brother Mike McQuillan, paternal grandparents Thomas and Rose McQuillan, maternal grandparents Ray and Flora Cassas, cousin Estes Stout and several aunts and uncles.

Cremation will take place and graveside services to be held at a later date.
