GREEN RIVER – The Green River Wolves cross country team has improved from day one. Behind three, top-25 finishes, the Wolves finished the season fifth overall.
Braden Reichl scored his most important top 10 finish on the year as he crossed the line in ninth with a time of 16:34.35. Laramie’s Philip Henry won the title by three seconds with a time of 15:52.05. Garrett Condelario of Natrona was second with a time of 15:55.05.
Brayden Kovick was second for the Wolves with a time of 17:08.91. He finished 22nd for the championships. One of the most improved runners over the year has been Eric Clingenpeel. On Saturday, he was two seconds behind teammate Kovick to finish 23rd overall.
Not too far off the top 25 were Wolves Miles Moffat and Christian Gayton. The two finished right behind each other in 37th and 38th.
Overall, Green River finished with 129 points to bring home fifth. Laramie was first with 63 points followed by Kelly Walsh with 75 and Jackson in third with 85. The Wolves were only seven points away from fourth which was claimed by Evanston with 122 points.
