Wolves Stadium to Get New Scoreboard

The football field scoreboard at Green River High School s poised for video screen upgrade thanks to an allocation of $200,000 in recreation mill levy funds. This allocation addresses the need for an overdue upgrade to the existing scoreboard, which is 30 years old. The $200,000 will also put a smaller scoreboard opposite of the video scoreboard and put play clocks in both end zones.

The forthcoming scoreboard promises to offer enhanced features, including state-of-the-art technology such as instant replay capabilities, player statistics, and dynamic graphics. These improvements are expected to elevate the game-day experience for both players and spectators, creating a more immersive atmosphere.

Green River High School Athletic Director Tony Beardsley said that the project will be completed by 2025, although the funds will be allocated from this years Rec Mill Levy budget. Beardsley explained to the board that the current scoreboard hasn’t been capable of displaying track and field results the last few years, and the new video scoreboard would excel at that task. Students from Green River High School will learn how to use the full features of the new scoreboard and potentially run cameras in the future for instant replay. Cameras are not part of the current bid.
