MIAMI, Oklahoma — The Western Wyoming Community College (WWCC) Mustangs wrestling team headed east over the weekend for a dual against Triton College and tournament action in the 2021 Golden Norsemen Invite in Oklahoma.

WWCC faced off against Triton on Friday night, winning the dual 39-13. On Saturday, the team challenged seven other schools in the 2021 Golden Norsemen Invite tournament. Five of the seven schools the Mustangs faced were in the top 20 ranked teams in the NJCAA.

The Mustangs recorded a combined 39 pins between Friday night’s dual against Triton College and the tournament on Saturday. As a result, WWCC crowned three champions in the tournament, placed two wrestlers in second place and seven wrestlers in third place.
