ROCK SPRINGS — A road closure on the South Belt Loop in Rock Springs will extend to Friday according to the Wyoming Department of Transportation.

WYDOT said crews are continuing grinding work on the roadway and the segment between Dewar Drive and Blair Avenue will remain closed. WYDOT originally believed the road would reopen Friday. Local access to West Center Street will remain open.

The work is part of a larger concrete slab repair project on Wyoming State Highway 376. The project’s completion date is Oct. 31 and involves paving, milling, grinding, and creak seal work on 4.5 miles of the highway.
