CHEYENNE – According to the Wyoming Department of Health (WDH), the number of COVID-19 Coronavirus hospitalizations has decreased to 146 patients, however, active cases have increased slightly throughout the week.
As of December 24, COVID-19 hospitalizations in Wyoming sat at 146 patients, according to the most recent update of the WDH’s hospitalization report. Cheyenne Regional Medical Center reported 35 COVID-19 hospitalizations and Wyoming Medical Center out of Casper reported 35 patients.
Active lab-confirmed cases of COVID-19 is currently at 2,251, which is up from 1,908 on Monday.
Among Wyoming residents, there have been 37,129 lab-confirmed cases, 34,878 case recoveries, and 373 confirmed deaths since the beginning of the pandemic. There are currently 6,017 probable cases.
Sweetwater County
The WHD reports that among Sweetwater County residents, there have been 2,723 lab-confirmed cases since the start of the pandemic and 2,515 recoveries. There are currently 220 active cases and 15 deaths.
On November 25, active cases were at 411 in Sweetwater County, and two weeks ago on December 11, there were 292 active cases.
Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County (MHSC) reported eight COVID-19 hospitalizations on December 24, according to the WDH. MHSC also reported that they had just one Intensive Care Unit (ICU) bed out of nine beds available on December 24.
