Wyoming Travel Expected to be Impacted by Spring Snow Storm

SWEETWATER COUNTY — Sweetwater County residents and travelers can expect high impacts along Interstate 80 and South Pass due to a snowstorm moving into Wyoming later tonight.

Slick roads, black ice, and reduced visibility from blowing snow will result from the storm starting tonight through tomorrow afternoon. Interstates 80, 25, and 90 are all expected to be impacted by this storm, according to the Road Impact Forecast from the Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT). Wind gusts up to 50 mph will create extreme blow over risk for light, high-profile vehicles.

Mountain passes, including South Pass, are also expected to experience similar conditions with this storm.
