WORLAND – The Rock Springs Tigers beat two ranked 3A teams to finish the first day in Worland 2-0 and will open play in the semifinals on Saturday.
The Tigers opened with a big win over the top-ranked 3A team in the state, Cody. They were able to shutout the high-octane offense to take the 1-0 win. They followed it with a win over the fourth-ranked 3A team from Riverton. The defense pitched another shutout while the offense scored two goals.
It does not get any easier on Saturday as the Tigers face the third-ranked 3A and host team Worland at 11:15 a.m. The winner moves on to the championship and will either face Green River or Evanston.
