CASPER – Parker Jones just missed a regional title as he led the Rock Springs Tigers at the 4A West Regional Cross Country race in Casper on Friday.
Jones ran a 16:20.69 to cross the line in third place. He was about 20 seconds off the top time set by Natrona’s Garrett Condelario. Preston Gromer of Kelly Walsh finished second with a time of 15:59.63. Preston Portillo crossed the line in 17:11.13 to finish in the 13th spot.
David Medina made it three, top-20 finishes for RSHS ending in 17th while Bobby Sains finishing with the fourth-best Tiger time crossing in the 33rd spot.The Tigers will travel to Sheridan for the final race of the year as runners will battle for the 2016 Cross Country crown on Oct. 22
