ROCK SPRINGS – The National Weather Service is warning that flash flooding may occur between mile markers 20-and-40 of Highway 430. Weather Service Doppler radar indicated that a slow moving thunderstorm with very heavy rainfall is nearly stationary and has dropped an inch of water already with the potential for two additional inches.
The advisory warned that excessive rainfall may cause mud and rock slides, and to never drive into an area where water covers the roadway.
