GRANGER — The level of the water in the Blacks Fork River at Granger has dropped markedly, Sweetwater County Sheriff Mike Lowell said today.
These two photographs of the water flowing beneath the Spruce Street bridge, one on March 12, the other taken Tuesday, March 14, graphically illustrate the difference.
Sweetwater County Emergency Management staff have been monitoring conditions in Granger, the western Sweetwater County community recently beset by flooding.
Officials report that while the town’s sewer system is still under repair, pumps on loan from adjacent Uinta County are functioning and the sewer system is operating again.
Lowell said County Fire Warden Mike Bournazian and other firefighters from the Sweetwater County Fire Department are on scene in Granger today, assisting town officials with sewer system repairs.
