Adorable Adoptables: Bear, Ion and Kia

Adorable Adoptables: Bear, Ion and Kia

Meet Ion, a nine-year-old pit bull terrier that is looking for a forever home after a life on the road.

Your next fuzzy family member could be at a Sweetwater County animal shelter.

Each week, we highlight the Pets of the Week currently available at local shelters.

This week, we are highlighting pets at Green River Animal Shelter. It’s the perfect time to add a member to your forever family.

Bear

Hello there, my name is Bear, and I’m a six-year-old husky mix. I’ve traveled from Illinois to Wyoming with my owner and brother Ion on foot. I’ve never really known a home or yard because we stayed on the street, in random homes with friends, homeless shelters, and cars. Now I’m looking for a forever home with a bed, family, and meals every night.

I am house-trained very well and like other dogs, kids, and cats. I have a little bit of separation anxiety when left alone, but I do great on a leash, know basic commands, and even sign language. If you are looking for a dog who will always stay by your side, come visit me at the Green River Animal Shelter today!

Ion

Hi there! I’m Ion, a nine-year-old pit bull terrier. Just like my brother Bear, I’ve never known a home and yard. I am house trained, know basic commands and sign language, and do fantastic on a leash. I do okay with most other dogs, but I will set boundaries with them. I do great with kids, and I’m selective about the cats I like.

I was born with a birth defect called Persistent Right Aortic Arch and need to be fed small amounts of food multiple times a day. I’m doing well in the shelter and gaining weight. If you want a well-trained dog with a heart of gold, come stop by the Green River Animal Shelter today.

Kia

Hi there, I’m Kia, a husky girl who’s also a couch potato. Don’t let that fool you though, I still love going on walks and doing tricks for treats. I was in the middle of learning how to spin for treats. I already have good recall, and I’m house trained. I’m good with cats and like kids. I like boy dogs and some girl dogs.

I’m current on my five-way vaccine and crate trained. If you are looking for a new buddy to go on adventures with, then come home and take a nap, look no further and come visit me at the Green River Animal Shelter.
