ROCK SPRINGS – A program which recently helped celebrate Pilot Butte Elementary’s fifth year was recognized for its efforts at the Sweetwater School District No. 1 Board meeting Monday night.
Tony Legerski’s Rock Springs High School’s 18-21 Program – Life Skills Building Class – designed and screen-printed the t-shirts for Pilot Butte Elementary School’s fifth-year celebration through their t-shirt business.
This RSHS course is designed for students who will be transitioning from school to the work force at the time of graduation. The goal of this program is to help students acquire the skills to secure and maintain competitive employment after they leave school.While working at the t-shirt business, the students learn real life, vocational and communication skills as well as learning how to purchase items, inventory, sizing and working with money.
The following students participated in the Alternative Vocational Program;Â Alexis Anastos, Cody Belden, Rodney Bluemel, Daniel Cannon, Jacob Dodson, Ellie Gill, Dakota Johnson, KayLee Lee, Chantyne Lester, Jason Madera, Auston Martinez, David Minor, Jesse Moeller, Alieshia Sala and Manuel Sola Vargas.
