FARSON — A week filled with emotional graduation celebrations in Sweetwater County culminated tonight with one final ceremony for the Farson-Eden High School Class of 2021.
The class of 19 students enjoyed a warm high school farewell from friends and family at the Pronghorn gym. Salutatorian Colby Jones addressed each class member individually in his speech with small nuggets of advice as they move on to the next step in their young lives.
Valedictorian Abigail Merkley teased several of her classmates but also talked about how their bond will remain with her well beyond her years at FEHS.
Keynote speaker Whitney Sorenson profiled each senior individually with comments from their families and teachers, and well as some personal anecdotes about her time spent with each of them.
After a touching slide show presentation that showed the students through the years, the class carried out an FEHS graduation tradition of presenting flowers to their family members in the audience.
The ceremony ended with the awarding of diplomas and traditional tassel turn. The Farson-Eden Class of 2021 also graduated 100 percent of its senior class, said proud Principal Barbara Rezzonico in her welcoming address.
Congratulations to the Farson-Eden High School Class of 2021. SweetwaterNOW wishes all of you the best of luck in your future endeavors.
