LARAMIE — The 2020 NFL Draft will be unlike any other draft in history. Computer screens, monitors and phones will be the means of determining the future for all 32 NFL teams this weekend due to the COVID-19 Coronavirus pandemic.

The Wyoming Cowboys will yet again have several players up for grabs in this year’s draft. The Pokes’ star linebacker, Logan Wilson, headlines the list of available players Wyoming has to offer.

Wilson, a Casper native, racked up 249 solo tackles, seven sacks and 10 interceptions during his career with Wyoming. In 2019, he was nominated as one of six finalists for the Butkus Award, which recognizes the best linebackers in college football.

Wilson has caught many NFL eyes. His ability to play sideline to sideline makes him a valuable prospect for any NFL defense. Add in his sharp decision making and physicality, there’s no question as to why most of the projections and mock drafts have him selected within the first three rounds of the draft.

A handful of other seniors will be available for NFL teams to draft. Defensive end Josiah Hall, cornerback Tyler Hall, safety Alijah Halliburton, tight end Josh Harshman, wide receiver Raghib Ismail Jr., linebacker Cassh Maluia, wide receiver John Okwoli, kicker Cooper Rothe and punter Ryan Galovich all showed out during Wyoming’s Pro Day back in March in front of NFL personnel.

The 2020 NFL Draft is set to begin on Thursday, April 23, at 6 pm on ABC, ESPN, NFL Network, ESPN Deportes and ESPN Radio.
