SHERIDAN – There were a lot of new faces on the Wyoming Girl’s State Championship pitch but in the end, familiar faces raced the trophies.
In 4A, the east continued to dominate the west side. For the seventh straight year, the east swept the west in the first round of the championships. In the end it was Laramie lifting the title for the first time in six years. It is the fourth title for the Lady Plainsmen in school history.
In 3A, it was Jackson beating Worland for the title. It is a repeat championship for the ladies of Jackson and its their seventh in the last nine years.
