Give the young basketball stars an upper hand as the Rock Springs Parks and Recreation Department’s basketball camp starts Monday

ROCK SPRINGS – With only three seconds left, Kobe Bryant has the ball. He lines up and lets the ball fly. Going in slow motion, the ball hits nothing but net for the win. While mom watches out the window, she is unsure why her young son is screaming and yelling like he just won the NBA Championship.

Many young ballers dream of one day playing in the big game as they often emulate their hardcourt heroes. Parents can give their young ones the opportunity to start developing their basketball skills through the Rock Springs Parks and Recreation Department.

On Monday, the summer program will focus on basketball. The camp is Monday through Thursday at the Rock Springs Junior High. The camp starts at 8:30 a.m. and runs until 11:30 a.m. The camp is for player’s ages 5-years-old to 13-years-old. There is a $10 charge.
