GREEN RIVER — During a pinning ceremony last night, the Green River Fire Department (GRFD) promoted Kole Burnett, Nathan Mandros, and Austin Rider.
The GRFD announced the promotions on a recent social media post. Kole Burnett has been an active member since 2011 and was promoted to Lieutenant. He has been a member of GRFD family since he was a baby, following his father, Captain Jeb Burnett’s footsteps, according to the GRFD. Kole has had 6 years of the Best of the Best and the knowledge of all the calls he has acquired during his 11 years as a firefighter.
Nathan Mandros has been on the department since 2007 and was promoted to Lieutenant. Nathan has continued his education in areas such as EMS, rope rescue, water rescue along with his leadership, he may better represent the department and serve the community.
Austin Rider has been on the department since 2007 and was promoted to Captain. His dedication and drive to be successful in the department has not gone unnoticed, the GRFD stated. He moved up to the rank of Lieutenant in 2014 where he has continued to gain knowledge, skills, and a degree in Fire Science with an emphasis in fire investigation to help serve the department. His passion that he has expressed can be seen through him and the many firefighters he has mentored over the years.
