GREEN RIVER – After losing a close one in Evanston, the Green River Lady Wolves volleyball squad responded with a Friday win. The win sends the Lady Wolves to the 2015 Wyoming State Championships.
On Tuesday, Green River lost to Evanston in a match that was close throughout. Evanston won game one, but the Lady Wolves came right back in the second with a 25-20 win. The Lady Devils would take the next two games to take the 3-1 win. The final two games could have gone either way, but fell on the side of Evanston both games being won by a final of 25-23.
On Friday, the ladies of Green River battled Riverton with a state berth on the line. The first two games were extremely close, including a second game which would go to extra points. Green River was able to take them both, 25-23 and 27-25. While the third game was close, the Lady Wolves were able to lock down a spot at state with a 25-20 win.
