The 2020 winter sports season in Sweetwater County is just around the corner. With practices underway and game days approaching quickly, we’ve put together a preview for each team in Sweetwater County.
In preparation for the start of the season, we’ve gathered general information such as last year’s results, a few comments from the head coach and every team’s schedule.

Head Coach: Colleen Seiloff – 26th year as Head Coach

COACH’S CORNER
Q: Let’s talk a little bit about last season. What were you proud of? What did you wish went better?
Seiloff: “I was very proud of our performance last year. I think we really matured as a team. By the end of the season they were working hard, supporting each other, and pushing each other to get better. Our goal was to place as high as we possibly could at state and they fought for it right through the last event.”
Q: What are your initial thoughts about this upcoming season?
Seiloff: “I think we will do really well this season. We have some strong athletes on our team who will perform well in 3A. I wish our team was a bit bigger but what we have is going to do well. It will be fun competing in 3A this year. There are some really strong athletes and of course Lander has a long winning streak. They are always strong and this year is no different.
It is going to be a fun year. We are just excited that we are still competing at this point. We are going to treat each week as a gift. We’re going to keep working hard and see what happens at the end.”
Q: How do you compare against the competition in your conference?
Seiloff: “Lander is in our conference and has a really strong team. We should do pretty well but who knows. We just have to work hard and find out.”
