Historic Ten Rock Springs Hockey Players Selected to Regional Development Camp

ROCK SPRINGS — Ten Rock Springs Hockey players from the Rock Springs Amateur Hockey Association (RSAHA) were selected to attend a regional player development camp out of over 330 players in Wyoming.

The Wyoming Amateur Hockey Association (WAHA) held its State Player Development Camp on May 7-9, in Casper, Wyo. where the selections took place. The top players at the camp were selected to attend the Northern Plains District Player Development Camp, which includes the top talent from all hockey associations within Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wyoming. A total ten players from Rock Springs were selected, the most in the associations history.

The following ten RSAHA players were selected to attend the regional development camp:

“These players weren’t just selected by chance. They work very hard and have devoted countless hours of time and practice into improving their game,” Doug Bodenhagen Rock Springs Miners 14U Coach said.

On May 20-24 in Grand Forks, N.D. the ten puck slingers attended the Northern Plains District Player Development Camp where they showcased their skills and represented the best of Wyoming.

“This is a huge honor for these players to go show off their skills while representing the Rock Springs Amateur Hockey Association and the State of Wyoming. We’re so proud of them,” Bodenhagen said.
