ROCK SPRINGS — Karlene Atkinson of Rock Springs and Kyle Gilmore of Green River have announced their engagement and approaching marriage.
The bride-elect is the daughter of Willene and Lewis Atkinson of Rock Springs. She is a 2011 graduate of Rock Springs High School. She received her associate’s degree in electrical instrumentation and technology from Western Wyoming Community College in 2014. She is a surface electrician at Ciner.
The prospective groom is the son of Micki and Richard Gilmore of Green River. He is a 2005 graduate of Green River High School. He is attending the surface maintenance program at Western Wyoming Community College. He is a surface mechanic at Ciner.
The couple got engaged June 1, 2017, while on vacation in Victoria, Canada. They have planned a December 9, 2017, wedding in Evanston, Wyoming.
