Lady Wolves and Lady Tigers Bring Home Conference Titles on Opening Day

GREEN RIVER – The 4A West Regional Outdoor Track and Field Tournament had a full day of competition on Friday.

While many of Friday’s races were set up for Saturday, several titles were decided on Friday. Both the Lady Tigers and Lady Wolves brought home gold.

On the Lady Tiger’s side, the 4×100 relay team of Emma Lapp, Bobbi Parker, Makenzie and Lyndzie Kroupa took home the regional title. Their time of 50.04 was almost a second in front of second-place Natrona. Kelly Walsh and Evanston rounded out the four teams who finished.

The Lady Wolves brought home gold in two events. Kaisa Arnell took the 3200 regional title with a 12:31.52. She dominated, beating the second-place finisher by over 12 seconds.

Green River’s Emily White brought home title no. 2. White took the shot put crown with a throw of 38-10.50. Natrona’s Kristy Dick finished second with a throw of 38-00.25.

 

Girls 100 Meters  Prelims

After Friday’s preliminaries, Rock Springs Bobbi Parker leads the way. Her time of 12.54 paced the field. Green River’s Andri Dewey finished fifth with a time of 13.17. Lady Tiger Emma Lapp crossed in eighth. Lady Wolves Hayley Henderson finished 12th and Aaliyah Brady was 13th.

 

Girls 200 Meters Prelims

Lauren Taubert of Natrona ran a 25.49 to lead the prelims after Friday. Lady Tiger Bobbi Parker is currently third after a Friday time of 25.98. Green River’s Andri Dewey sits in sixth while Lady Tiger Emma Lapp finished Friday in seventh. Green River’s Hayley Henderson matched her 100 finish crossing in 12th.


Girls 400 Meters Prelims

After Friday’s run, Green River’s Andri Dewey sits in third. Her time of 1:03.42 trailed Natrona’s top time of 1:00.06. Lady Tiger’s MaKenzie Kroupa and Jenae Rameriz currently sit in fourth and fifth respectively. Green River’s Ashley Jensen crossed in 11th. Lady Tiger Isabelle Shields finished in 13th.


Girls 800 Meter Finals

Josie Givens just missed a regional title crossing in second place. The Fillies Molly Olsen took the title with a time of 2:21.47. Givens was just a behind with a time of 2:21.89. Lady Tiger Bailee Radakovich crossed in third with a time of 2:23.92. Other Rock Springs runners who placed in the top ten included Sheridan Klingensmith in seventh and Jenae Rameriz in 8th. Freshman Isabelle Shields just missed a top ten coming in 14th.

Girls 3200 Meter Finals

Lady Wolves Kaisa Arnell took the 3200 regional title with a 12:31.52. She dominated beating the second-place finisher by over 12 seconds. Lady Tigers Sheridan Klingensmith finished third with a time of 13:03.49 while Hanna Hampton was right behind in fourth. Lady Tiger Ashley Dewey crossed in ninth with teammate Scarlett Siesemore just outside the top ten in 11th.

 

Girls 100-Meter Hurdles Prelims

Lady Tiger Lyndzie Kroupa has a shot at a regional title as she sits in second after Friday’s prelims. Natrona’s Lauren Taubert ran the fastest time with a 14.83. Kroupa finished with a 15.79. Two Lady Wolves sit inside the top eight. Eliza Morin finished in sixth with Erika Wilson right behind in seventh.


Girls 300-Meter Hurdles Prelims

Lyndzie Kroupa also finished second in the 300-meter hurdles. Natrona’s Lauren Taubert again paced the field. Lady Tiger Janae  Rameriz and Green River’s Eliza Morin will be in the mix of Saturday. Rameriz finished in fourth while Morin was right behind in fifth. Rock Springs runner Kyla Henry posted a top ten finish crossing in ninth.

 

Girls 4×100 Meter Relay Finals

The Rock Springs Lady Tiger team of Emma Lapp, Bobbi Parker Makenzie and Lyndzie Kroupa took home the regional title. Their time of 50.04 was almost a second in front of second-place Natrona. Kelly Walsh and Evanston rounded out the four teams who finished.

 

Girls High Jump Finals

Lauren Taubert added a regional crown in the high jump with a 5-05.00. Lady Wolves Erika Wilson was not that far off the title as her jump of 5-01.00 put her in third. Eliza Morin finished Friday’s finals in a tie for fifth.

 

Girls Long Jump Finals

Evanston’s Brinae Sanders is the 4A West title holder after a jump of 16-11.00 on Friday. Green River’s Aaliyah Brady was the highest local finisher coming in eighth. Teammate Jennifer  Rochar finished in 13th.

 

Girls Shot Put Finals

Green River’s Emily White in the 2015-2016 Regional champ in the shot put. Her throw of 38-10.50 paced the field. Rock Springs Lady Tiger Courtney Smith finished in fifth while Green River’s Natayla Robberson posted a top ten coming in ninth. Lady Tiger McKenna Bournazian just missed a top ten finishing in the 12th spot.
