GREEN RIVER – The Green River Lady Wolves took to the tennis courts in Casper and came away with wins against both Sheridan and Natrona.
Both team scores would be close but Green River would come out on top in both finals with the similar score of 3-2. Strong doubles play continued to be a strength for the Lady Wolves.
Along with the doubles accomplishments, Anna Ujvary continued her unblemished season. She would make it five-in-a-row with straight-set wins against both Natrona and Sheridan. Against Natrona, Ujvary only lost two games on her way to a 6-2, 6-0 win. Against Sheridan, she would only drop one going 6-0 and 6-1.
From the No. 2 doubles spot, Ashlyn Edwards and Kaitlyn Sharp would continue their strong play with two wins. They scored a dominating win against Natrona but showed they could dig down deep for a win as well. Against Sheridan, the team would hold a late break to take the first set, 7-5. They would fall in a second-set tiebreaker but respond for a big win the deciding set, 6-2.
Audrie Harrison and Kelby Pope would also score two wins from the No. 3 doubles spot. Pope and Harrison rolled over Natrona and were looking strong against Sheridan before the Lady Bronc team retired due to injury.
The No. 1 doubles team of Isabel Leininger and Alex Palmer would battle through the day but were hampered by injuries.
