ROCK SPRINGS – Clear your schedule now as the City of Rock Springs’ Parks and Recreation Department has three free contests coming up for the public to participate in next Saturday, July 19th.
U.F.O. Disc Golf Tournament at Arthur Park
Get your frisbee ready and your arm warmed up for the UFO Disc Golf Tournament. There will be prizes for first, second and third place for each age division. In addition, awards will be given for longest drive and closest to pin. Registration starts at 9:30 a.m., with tournament starting at 10 a.m. The event is open for players 8-years-old and up.
Mini Indy at Bunning Park
Tune up your big wheels, tricycles or similar riding toys for Mini Indy. No two-wheel bikes with or without training wheels or motorized riding toys allowed. The event is for racers three-years-old to six-years-old. Participants must bring their own riding toy. Events will include a drag race, slalom race and lap race. Register at 12:30 p.m. with the green flag flying at 1 p.m.
Children’s Bike Rodeo at Bunning Park
Right after Mini Indy, Bunning Park will play host to the children’s bike rodeo. Registration starts at 1:30 p.m. with the rodeo starting at 2 pm. The rodeo is for children between the ages of seven to twelve. There will be a contest for best decorated bike, best wheelie, slow race and barrel race.
