ROCK SPRINGS – The Red Desert Humane Society’s 3rd annual Bark in the Park event is happening Saturday June, 22 at the Bitter Creek Bark Park. Registration starts at 6:30 a.m. The Bark in the Park event runs until noon and will provide an educational opportunity for pet owners on altering, vaccinating, training, pet care and general ownership skills in addition to serving to raise awareness in the community as well as serve as a fund raising and pet adoption fair.

This year’s Bark in the Park will feature the first “Long Dog Derby” which will settle the question who is the fastest Dachshund in town?

The 5k Paws and Sneakers race will kickoff the event and runners who don’t have their own dogs can rent an adoptable running partner.
